The Sullivan Committee (SulCom) is a working group of volunteer – based service organizations who support NOAA’s National Weather Service Forecast Office at Milwaukee / Sullivan, WI (Sullivan Weather) .
Sullivan Weather has
near and long-term weather forecasting responsibility for twenty (20) counties
in Southern Wisconsin:

ALL PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS MUST READ AND
UNDERSTAND THE FOLLOWING:

Although many
methodologies are shared among all areas of the National Weather Service,
each National Weather Service Forecast Office determines their own methods
for achieving the agency’s mission and goals. The Sullivan Committee
programs support NOAA’s National Weather Service Forecast Office at
Milwaukee/Sullivan, Wisconsin. For information on the support programs
used by other Weather Forecast Offices, please contact the individual office
that serves the area of concern. If assistance in determining where
your area local National Weather Service Forecast Office is required, please
feel free to contact the webmaster
with your location. |

The Sullivan Committee,
within their limits of responsibility, will not work with non-established or
unknown field teams. |
3. |
All field teams
participating in the Sullivan Committee programs must have representation on
the Sullivan Committee. |
4. |
Field teams
participating in Sullivan Committee programs must respect any policies that
are enforced by the local authorities and the served agencies. A served
agency is defined as a legitimate government entity. |
5. |
Field teams
participating in Sullivan Committee programs should only pass information
that they deem is credible. |
6. |
Field Teams
participating in Sullivan Committee programs have the latitude to determine
acceptance of information from unknown sources. |
7. |
Public Safety
officials must understand that there are rare instances when the
Milwaukee/Sullivan Weather Forecast Office will act upon information
pertinent to the Public Safety official’s area of responsibility that is
obtained from legitimate sources other than the Public Safety official’s
office and/or programs. |
